Ship Stats

You will no doubt notice a series of "stats" listed below each vessel class. Here is a brief explanation of what the statistics listed refer to. All values listed are relative to the maximum possible value and are not percentages.

• Cost - This is the price range you can expect to pay in the game for one of these ships. Most ships are sold as used vessels so this would be the second-hand value. It is listed in regal wan (the official currency of the Regium and de facto currency of commerce throughout humanspace).
• Acceleration - This is how quickly the ship can change its velocity and plays a big part in its ability to close in on, chase or evade other ships.
• Manoeuvrability - This score indicates the ship's agility or how well it can turn, pitch or roll to evade threats or obstructions.
• Offence - This is a composite score that represents the ship's offensive potency. It is modified by crew skill and luck.
• Defence - This is a composite score of the ship's ability to survive an attack. As with the Offensive score, it is modified by crew skill and luck.
• Initiative - This denotes the ship's ability to position itself in a favourable position before beginning a manoeuver or attack. It is modified by crew skill and luck.
• Evasion - This score indicates how well a ship can evade a pursuer or threat, either by outmanoeuvring it or outrunning it. It is modified by crew skill and luck.
• Integrity - These two scores indicate the strength of the ship's hull to withstand damage/the effectiveness of the ship's shields.
• Damage - this score is an averaged amalgamation of the likely damage that the ship's weapons will inflict in combat at close quarters/medium range/long range.
