Time passage has been streamlined into standard seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries and millennia, based on cycles of 60 (for standard seconds in a minute, minutes in an hour), 30 (for hours in a day days and days in a month) and then 10 for larger periods (months in a year, years in a decade).
